Thank God that horrible weekend, weather-wise, is behind us. Flying back to Ireland, aborted landings, diversions – all in one day is more than I can take, however, I did get to Dingle for the Other Voices music festival which was fantastic. Well worth a trip – an authentic and spin free zone, which is more than can be said for European institutions these days.

After the negative market reaction last Thursday, the ECB spin function is starting to gather speed. The members of the governing council are out telling anyone who will listen their view of the world. The spiel is that the market doesn’t understand the significant of the ECB’s non-move!
