Returning to writing Global Macro 360 after a one-month hiatus (we hope all our readers like the new weekly format!), it’s is important to reflect that not only in politics but also in global financial markets, a week is a long time and a month can seem like an age. Equities have had a recent setback, alongside bonds, amid concerns over a more hawkish Fed and increasing concerns over the limits of global central bank support via the prospect of tapering by the European Central Bank and Bank of Japan.
